About Ridgeway Legion 230

THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION -  “A Community Service Organization”

The Royal Canadian Legion formed in 1926 now has more than 500,000 members and 1500 Branches in Canada, United States, Mexico and Europe.  It is the largest service organization in this province with 370,000 members, 400 branches and 297 Ladies Auxiliaries.

The Legion is a non-profit organization that supports itself through dues and events such as music nights, dances, fish fry’s, and hall rentals.  Poppy funds are put in trust and not used for operating expenses.  These monies assist needy veterans and their dependants.

Local branches conduct a wealth of activities open to the public.  As a member you are entitled to participate in a variety of competitive events ranging from cards, darts, horseshoes, golf, etc. that lead to Provincial and Dominion champions.
